My four day fast
When I do a water fast, the 1st day is pretty easy. I just disappear from my house till it's dark. That tells my system, I'm actually serious about the fast. If I keep busy, I'm not going to think about food. Hunger really isn't an issue. My brain is a different story. I like food, that's more of an issue than hunger. So on my first day, I convince myself that there are better days to start my fast. So I procrastinate and put off the fast for another day. That can go on for a couple of weeks. But if I'm away from the kitchen then I stand a real good chance of committing to the fast. On the second day I'm pretty much done with organ depletion of glycogen. Since I start my 4 day fast in the morning, I'm up every hour or so to pee. They say the organs shrink 10% when you deplete glycogen. What's glycogen?
